Generally, there are no additional costs unless specified by the car rental agency. You’ll only need to pay for the rental duration (daily, weekly, or monthly). However, a refundable deposit is usually held by the car rental company. In some cases, this deposit can be paid in cash as well.

Salik is Dubai’s electronic toll collection system, allowing for seamless travel across the UAE without any toll booths or interruptions. When you drive through a Salik toll, the charges are recorded by the rental company through the RTA’s Salik system. As the renter or driver, you are responsible for paying these charges. Car rental companies typically add a markup of AED 5 per Salik crossing.
Note: You are also responsible for Salik charges if you are using a hired taxi that crosses a toll in Dubai, such as on Sheikh Zayed Road.

In the UAE, all rental cars come equipped with air-conditioning (AC) and FM radio. Most newer models also include a USB music player or mobile charging port, so make sure to bring your USB cable for your devices. Additional chargeable extras, such as GPS, baby or child seats, and Wi-Fi, may also be available upon request from the rental agencies.
Basic insurance is included in the rental car charges, as per RTA Dubai regulations. However, full-coverage insurance and additional insurance options may be available at an extra cost from the rental company. If the car you rented is involved in an accident and the driver is not the registered renter, the police may hold you responsible for the incident, in addition to any fines incurred.
With over 500 car rental companies in Dubai, it’s not ideal to settle for the first option that comes your way. You may end up with a poor deal or hidden charges if you don’t research properly. Belhasa Car Rental provides a simple and efficient platform to compare car rental prices from multiple agencies across Dubai. You can browse a wide range of cars from different suppliers, ensuring you find the one that fits your budget and needs. With Belhasa, you can always count on high-quality service at an affordable price.
Mileage limitation refers to the maximum number of kilometers you can drive your rental car without incurring additional costs. The mileage limit is included in the rental price. Any extra kilometers driven beyond this limit will be charged by the rental company, and these charges vary depending on the car, so it’s important to confirm the details before you rent.
As the renter, you are responsible for paying for the fuel used during your rental period. The car may or may not come with a full tank, so it’s essential to check with the rental agent beforehand. You’ll need to return the car with the same amount of fuel as it had when you picked it up. It's a good idea to take a photo of the fuel level at pickup as proof to avoid any disputes.
It’s important to confirm the correct type of fuel for your rental car right from the start. You can ask the car rental staff by providing the car model and your rental reference number. While fuel station attendants can assist, the responsibility to fill the car with the correct fuel type ultimately lies with you. If you accidentally use the wrong fuel, you may be held responsible for the damage caused, including repair costs and the days the car spends in the garage for repairs.
In the event of an accident, whether minor or major, you must obtain a Police report. At a minimum, your rental car should have basic insurance. If the accident isn’t your fault, you’ll receive a green slip from the Police, which means you won’t be held liable for the damages. However, if you’re issued a red slip, you may be required to pay the excess fees, up to the maximum limit. Some car rental companies charge high fees for repairs, garage days, and admin costs even for minor damages. To avoid surprises, always review the car rental agreement at the time of pickup before signing. It’s also important to inspect the car for existing dents, scratches, etc., before taking possession, and take pictures for proof.
As the renter, you are responsible for paying the parking charges whenever applicable. Most parking lots have parking meters, but some only accept payment via SMS to the number 7275. Be sure to check the payment method when parking.
The RTA offers multiple payment methods for parking in public parking zones across Dubai. Here’s how you can pay:
Plate number, Parking zone, Number of hours.A12345 501C 2 (Car plate A12345, area 501C, for 2 hours). When driving in Dubai, always ensure you pay for parking in both public and private paid-parking spaces. Adhere to speed limits, as exceeding them could not only result in fines but also lead to additional charges if you're driving a leased car. Remember, maintaining safe driving practices ensures a smoother experience and helps you avoid unnecessary costs.
The lowest available monthly car rental options in Dubai start from AED 1500 at Belhasa Car Rental. Special seasonal offers may bring down the prices, but these deals are rare and could include hidden charges. This is primarily because it’s not feasible for a licensed car rental company to offer a car at such a low rate.If you come across an offer advertising a car rental for an unbelievable AED 500 per month, be cautious. It's likely too good to be true. Always be careful of such offers and the rental companies you're considering.
The cost of renting a car in Dubai typically starts from around AED 103 per day, which amounts to approximately AED 1500 per month for a small car. This price generally includes insurance, and in some cases, delivery. Car rental rates can vary based on the duration of the rental agreement and the type of car you choose.
